Have you ever aspired to be able to mix records as a DJ or for a hobby? If so this is for you! There has been a resurgence of interest in vinyl mixing and making records. Sales are up over 500% in the last few years.
Vinyl DJ Lessons teaches you the art of mixing vinyl records on turntables. The lessons comprise of one on one, hands on tuition with veteran DJ Paul Holden. Paul has over 35 years experience as a nationally successful DJ and has approximately 20 years teaching vinyl mixing.
The lessons are taught on Sydney's lower North Shore, a few minutes walk from Spit Junction. We are located in between major bus routes to and from the City and the Northern Beaches.
A basic knowledge in music theory, for the comprehension of how records are made. Phrasing, Beat-matching, BPM counting. How to plan your set, be it short or long. Instruction for confidence in music selection for the next best track. Basic equipment knowledge. One on one private lessons with DJ Paul Holden. A hands on approach at all times. More mixing than theory. For most people it takes approximately 6-8 lessons to learn. We offer this at $100 per 90 minute lesson.
